The episode of Kumkum Bhagya on 9th August 2024 opens with Monisha revealing her devious plan to Neha. Monisha confidently tells Neha that the next day, Neha will disrupt RV’s press conference and tarnish his reputation. She explains that this will create a scandal so intense that RV and his family will have no choice but to seek Monisha’s help. Monisha plans to appear as a savior, taking Neha to the police station to withdraw the complaint against RV, thus seemingly resolving the issue.
However, Monisha hints that the drama won’t conclude so easily, implying that a much larger spectacle will unfold before everything is finally settled. She instructs Neha to give her best performance, emphasizing that it’s crucial for their plan’s success. Jasbeer, who is in on the scheme, encourages Neha to use this opportunity to showcase her acting skills. Reluctantly, Neha agrees to go along with their plot, and with the plan set in motion, Monisha and Jasbeer leave Neha’s house.
Meanwhile, RV finds himself lost in thought, deeply concerned about the upcoming events. Purvi, sensing his unease, approaches him and asks what’s on his mind. RV expresses his frustration with the legal system, lamenting how easily it can be manipulated. He feels trapped, as every piece of evidence seems to be stacked against him, and he can’t even recall the events of the night in question to defend himself.

Purvi tries to reassure him by reminding him that his family believes in his innocence. She pledges her unwavering support, comforting him with the thought that everything will eventually fall into place. The plot thickens when Jasbeer later meets with Neha again. This time, he proposes a new scheme to double-cross Monisha. He offers Neha a significant sum of money—40 lakhs—if she agrees not to withdraw her complaint against RV, which would cause even more trouble for RV and, more importantly, lead to the separation of RV and Purvi. Initially hesitant, Neha eventually agrees to the deal. Their conversation is interrupted by the sound of the doorbell, indicating someone’s arrival.
At the same time, RV is on the terrace, reflecting on his encounter with Neha. He is consumed by worry, unable to shake off the anxiety gnawing at him. Deepika, noticing RV’s distress, feels a pang of sympathy for him but decides to leave him alone with his thoughts. Harleen, another character deeply concerned for RV, finds him on the terrace and tries to comfort him. RV, exhausted from the stress and uncertainty, lies down with his head on Harleen’s lap, seeking solace in her presence. Purvi witnesses this tender moment and prays fervently to the goddess, hoping that the truth about RV’s innocence will soon come to light.

Back at Neha’s house, the situation takes a surprising turn. When Neha opens the door, she finds her boyfriend, Sahel, standing there. She quickly signals Jasbeer to leave before Sahel becomes suspicious. Jasbeer tries to make a quiet exit, but accidentally makes a noise. Sahel, noticing the sound, is about to investigate, but Neha manages to divert his attention. However, Sahel does notice a keychain on the floor and questions Neha about it. She pretends to be clueless, but Sahel, still suspicious, decides to keep the keys with him. Before leaving for Bangalore, he returns a bag of Neha’s clothes, leaving her feeling anxious about the close call.
In another scene, Deepika confronts Monisha, demanding that she save RV from the impending disaster. Monisha assures Deepika that she will indeed come to RV’s rescue during the press conference. However, Deepika, not fully trusting Monisha, threatens to expose her if she fails to bring an end to the drama by the next day. Monisha is left pondering Deepika’s warning, realizing that the stakes are higher than she anticipated.
The tension continues to build as Yug returns home from Bangalore. Diya, who is curious about the ongoing events, approaches Yug for information. She asks him if he knew about the press conference, but Yug, having just returned, is unaware of it. Diya then reveals that she found out about the press conference from the news, and it’s set to be broadcast live. She expresses her suspicion that someone might be planning to use the press conference for their own gain. Her words strike a chord with Yug, who immediately leaves to meet RV, worried about the possible manipulation at play.

As the episode nears its conclusion, Purvi is seen selecting a suit for RV to wear at the press conference. She carefully chooses an outfit, hoping to help RV present himself confidently. When RV sees the suit, he agrees to wear it, trusting Purvi’s judgment. At that moment, Yug arrives and asks Purvi about RV’s whereabouts. Purvi informs him that RV is changing into the suit she picked out. Yug mentions that he just returned from Bangalore, and soon after, RV joins them, inquiring about Yug’s trip.
However, Yug is concerned about RV, questioning how he can focus on work when his personal life is in such turmoil. RV, though, insists that he has worked hard to build his business and refuses to let anything, even this crisis, ruin his achievements.
