In the latest episode of “Jhanak,” which aired on August 7, 2024, the plot takes surprising turns with a lot of dramatic moments. The episode begins with Jhanak being encouraged by Pratiksha to drink a glass of juice. However, Jhanak refuses, and the glass falls by mistake. Despite this minor mishap, Jhanak remains hopeful, believing that only good things will come her way.
Meanwhile, Shrishti arrives at an event and receives a warm welcome from the organizers. She engages in conversations with the judges and the audience, setting a positive tone for the event. In a parallel scene, a staff member secretly spikes a glass of water and hands it to Jhanak. Pratiksha, unaware of the malicious act, persuades Jhanak to drink the water. Jhanak immediately notices a bitter taste but doesn’t realize that the water is spiked. Concerned, Pratiksha asks if Jhanak is feeling unwell, but Jhanak remains oblivious to the danger.
In another part of the story, Lalon gives a chocolate to Appu, and Anjana catches them together. Anjana sternly warns Lalon to stay away, fearing that people will gossip about Appu and him. Appu, however, stands up for Lalon, declaring that he likes him and will meet him every day. Anjana, worried about the implications, insists that Lalon should not overstep his boundaries, but Appu disregards her warnings.

The scene shifts back to the event, where Jhanak is shocked to see Shrishti on stage. Shrishti introduces Arshi and Anirudh, causing further surprise for Jhanak. Shrishti recounts an incident that drastically changed Arshi’s life and expresses her wishes for Arshi’s recovery. During this emotional moment, Lalon advises Appu to leave with Anjana. Despite his sincere intentions, Anjana remains suspicious of Lalon and threatens to report him to the police. Lalon defends his character and background before reluctantly leaving.
Appu, in defiance, refuses to take his medicines and food. Meanwhile, Shrishti extends her best wishes to all the contestants. The host then announces Jhanak’s participation, shocking Arshi and Anirudh. As Jhanak steps onto the stage, Anirudh becomes emotional, while Arshi, feeling betrayed, suspects Anirudh of knowing about Jhanak’s involvement beforehand. Anirudh denies the accusation, puzzled by Jhanak’s unexpected presence at the dance show.
Despite their inability to openly express their emotions, Anirudh and Jhanak share a silent moment of happiness. However, Arshi’s mood sours, and she decides to leave the event. Shrishti and Anirudh try to stop her, but Arshi insists on returning to the hotel, even threatening to go back to Kolkata if restrained. Anirudh, confused by her sudden outburst, questions her, while Shrishti tries to prevent a scene, urging Arshi to maintain their reputation.

Arshi accuses Shrishti of lying about Jhanak and feels pushed into a corner by her mother’s constant demands. She expresses her exhaustion with the stressful lifestyle, leading to a heated argument with Shrishti. Arshi questions why they kept Jhanak’s participation a secret, while Shrishti tries to justify her actions by emphasizing the need for Arshi to regain her confidence and achieve success.
Brij, who has been listening to the exchange, apologizes to Arshi, admitting that he wanted to avoid her skipping the show because of Jhanak. Anirudh, still trying to mediate, advises Arshi to focus on her performance if she wants to win. Shrishti confides in Brij about her fears that Arshi might withdraw from the competition. Desperate to keep Arshi in the show, she inquires about ways to prevent Jhanak from competing. Brij admits his failure in stopping Jhanak but supports Shrishti’s resolve to take revenge.

The climax of the episode sees Jhanak delivering a beautiful performance on stage.
